Important New Drought Info - May 14, 2015
The Brazos River Basin, from where all of our drinking water originates, is finally out of the drought conditions we have been under for the last eighteen (18) months or so. Recent rainfall has finally gotten to the upper reaches of the mid-Brazos basin and recharged the reservior system. You may, as always, review the Drought Map of the Brazos River here at http://www.brazos.org/DroughtStatus.asp .
As of Thursday May 14, 2015 The Water Company has now rescinded all stages of our Drought Plan. Recent rains have increased the levels in the Brazos River Authority Reserviors such that we are no longer in triggering conditions. We continue to ask that you do everything that you can to reduce your water consumption to insure a stable supply of water for all the citizens of Dickinson and of the County as a whole.
Our Next Regular Board Meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 16, 2015 at 4:00 pm in the Council Chambers in Dickinson City Hall.
