Dear Customers,

Welcome to the website of the Galveston County Water Control and Improvement District No.1 (WCID#1)  located in Dickinson, Texas.  Watch this site for information about "The Water Company".  If you need us for emergencies our 24 hour number is our main number,  281-337-1576.  If you call that number, either our customer service staff or an on-call operator will contact the right members of our staff to help you.

Special Notice

We have changed our policy here at the District regarding the reconnection of services for non-payment. Effective July 28th of 2014, we will no longer complete the reconnection of water services, terminated for non-payment, after business hours. If your water is disconnected for non-payment, you will need to pay the full amount of your bill and any reconnection charges one (1) hour prior to the close of business each day in order to be reconnected on that day. So, if you are disconneceted Monday thru Thursday you must pay your bill and fees before 4:30 pm to be reconnected the same day. On Friday, you must pay by 11:00 am to be reconnected on the same day. We regret that due to safety and audit concerns we will no longer offer this service.

Drought Info

While we are receiving rain, it is hard to believe that the Brazos River Watershed remains in serious drought conditions. All of our drinking water here originates in the Brazos River. The reserviors that feed the Brazos are somewhat lower than they were at the beginning of the 2011 drought of record. We will liekly be going to Statge Two (2) of our Drought Contingency Plan that requires voluntary reduction in outside water use. Please do your best to reduce your overall water usage. We will keep you informed as the drought continues. Rain in the Brazos River Watershed is so very much needed.

Our next Regular Board Meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 18, 2014 at 6:00 pm the Council Chambers in Dickinson City Hall, Dickinson, TX.

Please Note: We often get customer service requests that are not within our District. We only serve the City of Dickinson, TX and the area immediately around the City. Before you contact us, reservoirs from your bill that we are your provider as we cannot help you if we are not your water provider. If you write us or contact us, please include your name, service address and an email address or phone number solikelywe get in touch with you. Thank you.
