We have changed our policy here at the District regarding the reconnection of services for non-payment. Effective July 28th of 2014, we will no longer complete the reconnection of water services, terminated for non-payment, after business hours. If your water is disconnected for non-payment, you will need to pay the full amount of your bill and any reconnection charges one (1) hour prior to the close of business each day in order to be reconnected on that day. So, if you are disconnected Monday thru Thursday you must pay your bill and fees before 4:30 pm to be reconnected the same day. On Friday, you must pay by 11:00 am to be reconnected on the same day. We regret that due to safety and audit concerns we will no longer offer this service.

Important New Drought Info - September 08, 2014

The Brazos River Basin is once again under drought conditions.  Previous predictions had indicated that rainfall in the basin would provide enough water for the last of our hot summer months.  That prediction has not not come true.  On Friday September 5, 2014 DOW Freeport issued a "Senior Call" on its 1947 water rights.  What does this mean for us?  Well it means, that our water supplier, Gulf Coast Water Authority, has issued its own Stage II water restrictions due to the continued shortage of water in the Brazos River.  This stage of the GCWA Drought Contingency Plan requires that we reduce the amount  water that we "take" from the GCWA by 10%.

As of Monday, September 8, 2014, The Water Company is hereby enacting Stage II of our own Drought Contengency Plan and ask that you reduce your overall water usage.  Further, we ask that if you must water outdoors to do so only betweeen the hours of 10:00 PM until 5:00 AM.  If water levels in the Brazos River and its Reserviors do not improve, we will be forced to implement further water use restrictions under our own plan.  Here at the Water Company, will also reduce the amount of water taken from the GCWA by using our own water wells.  Please do everything that you can to reduce your water consumption to insure a stable supply of water for all the citizens of Dickinson and of the County as a whole.   We will keep you informed about the status of our water supply in the Brazos River as conditions change.  Rain in the Brazos River Watershed is still so very much needed.
