Galveston County Water Control and Improvement District #1

THE GALVESTON COUNTY WATER CONTROL AND IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 RETURNS TO REGULAR BILLING PRACTICES

We know that many in our community have lost their jobs, businesses, and healthcare coverage in this pandemic.  To offer support in March of 2020 the District suspended late fees and disconnection of services due to nonpayment.

Our ability to provide safe drinking water to our customers is fully funded by revenue from water and sewer usage.  For this reason, customers have continued to receive their monthly bills showing how much water was used and the amount that is owed, including any past due balance.  After careful consideration and changing conditions, late fees and cutoffs for nonpayment are scheduled to resume beginning on October 1, 2020.

Customers can pay their bill online through the District's website at wcid1.com.  Payments may also be made in person or through the drop boxes located at our Administration Office at 2750 FM 517 E.  The drop boxes are located on the east side of the building. One is attached to the building, and the other is a free-standing unit.  If you need help paying your bill, call customer service at (281) 337-1576 to obtain contact information of local community bill payment assistance partners.

To pay your water bill online, you will need a copy of your most recent billing statement and you can make payments by credit card by clicking the "Pay Your Bill" button below. You will be prompted for your account number and the PIN number that is on your billing statement. Once you arrive at the page just follow the simple instructions. There is a 3.00% convenience fee added for credit card payments.
NOTE: If you have already been cut off or are already on the cut-off list you will be required to come into the office and pay the necessary fees to have your service reinstated. If you need information on the process you may call our customer service representatives at 281-337-1576. They will be glad to help you and explain the process for payment after you may have been cut-off or are on the current cut-off list already with our Meter Techs in the field doing disconnects.
