All customers need to complete a service application
at the Water District office located at 2750 F.M.
517 East in Dickinson. At the time of application, a deposit
will be needed for each service connection.
Single-Family Residence:

Rental Unit - $150
Commercial deposits are determined by anticipated consumption.

a copy of the form in Spanish to assist you in completing
the primary form, you may contact us and we will send
it to you directly. In addition to your application
you will need: Photo Identification and Proof of
Property Ownership or a copy of your Lease Agreement.

Commodity Charge for Sewer:
In addition to the monthly minimum bill, the commodity
charge for all wastewater is as follows:
$2.25 per 1,000 gallons or fraction
thereof.
In addition to the
monthly water and sewer charges, your water bill will
also include a 'Texas' charge which is a 0.5% fee assessed
and paid to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality,
as required by state law. This fee applies to all accounts.
Other Services
Billed
The Dickinson Water District also provides billing services
on behalf of the City of Dickinson municipal government
(www.ci.dickinson.tx.us). These include garbage fees and
drainage utility fees. The Water District also solicits
monthly donations on behalf of the Dickinson Volunteer
Fire Department.
Water, Sewer,
and Gas Plumbing Inspections
Permit and inspection fees are required for any plumbing
additions or modifications prior to work being started.
Permits are issued by the Building Inspections Department
at City Hall, located at 2716 F.M. 517 East, Dickinson,
Texas. Contact the Plumbing Inspector at (281) 337-2489
to discuss these regulations before beginning the design
phase of your project.
Local Property Tax
Galveston County WCID#1 does assess a local property tax.
The 2009 tax rate is $0.21819 cents per $100.00 of assessed
property value.
Service Hours
The Water Company offers 24-hour, 7-days per week emergency
service for all customers. Just call the office number
and a representative will dispatch a service person.
